Being able to navigate Cañada's websites will help you be able to communicate with faculty and staff, complete your work, turn your homework in, view your student records and register successfully.

WebSMART is a place online where you can view most of your student records, such as:

  • Final grades

  • Account summary

  • Financial aid

  • Student Educational Plan (DegreeWorks)

You can also: 

  • Register for classes

  • Pay your fees

  • Apply for financial aid

  • Order a parking permit

  • Request transcripts

  • Change your pin

  • And so much more!

CANVAS is an online class management tool which you will be using for your course assignments! Always access CANVAS directly from the Cañada Website. This way you will be logging into the correct one (many campuses use CANVAS, so there are different versions). You will receive your temporary password when you enroll in your first CANVAS class through your SMCCD student email.

Username: the beginning part of your Student Email.

Password: Is provided through my.smccd.edu email with your first class.  

Your My.SMCCD lets you:

  • Get access to cool features: Calendar, Drive (presentations, documents, spreadsheets, web storage) and Google Talk. Google Drive has a "sharing" option in which you can simultaneously collaborate on files with your instructor or classmates. Like Word, PowerPoint & Excel BUT it's free!

  • Communicate with your instructors and get important college info.

  • Keep everything online so you don’t need to worry about losing your files.

  • An email account you can keep for life.
